As part of their annual culture day celebration, Toronto Japanese Language School asked me to lead a demonstration of taiko and Japanese music for their students. Despite the biting cold and deep snow, well over 150 participants were in attendance, both adults and children. It was a great privilege to host such a workshop in my former Japanese language school. Though the halls and spaces of the school seemed to have grown smaller since I attended as a child, I was very pleased to see the student body had not. The workshops were well attended by students of all ages. I would like to convey my gratitude to all those who attended and to Toronto Japanese Language School for a wonderful day.
